urban PLANNING / REGULATION / RESEARCH AND EDUCATION

I am architect graduated at the Universidad Central in Ecuador. Obtained a Master and PhD degrees at the Mie University in Japan.

 

Inception, analysis and implementation of urban regulation and systemic planning, specializing in sensible urban contexts and natural and historical areas. Particular emphasis on how sensible urban and natural landscapes could be protected while promoting lively urban environments, by crafting and using existing urban planning instruments such as regulations, master plans and urban design proposals. My work is based on numerical and social data as tools for decision support systems. I specialize in working in complex urban and semi urban environments where detailed insights are needed to accomplish large and widespread benefits to citizens and their interaction with the natural and urban environment. Currently I am lecturing at the school of architecture as associate professor  and conducting research on the field of urban planning and regulatory instruments at UDLA, Quito. Ecuador.
